Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking an experienced VP, Finance who will report to the President. You’ll be a critical member of the team, as this role will be key in creating and maintaining an efficient and productive financial environment from which we’ll continue to grow.
What You’ll Be Responsible For Achieving:
Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Monitor, analyze, and report monthly operating results against budget
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting function
Manage the preparation of all financial reports
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Work with department managers to develop 1 and 3-year business plans
Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental OKR’s, policies, and operating procedures
Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
Procurement
Manage our insurance and conduct risk assessments periodically across our enterprise
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff
Present financial health of the company to the board
Lead financial responsibilities for all fundraise events.
What Will Make You Successful:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business
Master’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting a plus
Investment Banking experience, including M & A or M & A consulting experience
Internal corporate finance experience, preferably in FP&A
Experience managing the back office accounting function, CPA not required, but helpful
Five (5) to Ten (10) years experience in a mid to senior-level finance position
At least 3 years experience with a SaaS technology company through a period of rapid growth
Strategic thinking capabilities necessary to understand the dynamics and complexities of Healthcare and be able to apply that to our strategic mission and vison in creative and fiscally responsible ways
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, 606 Revenue recognition principals for a SaaS company
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, preferably with experience implementing these systems from scratch
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections for executive management and for Board and investor reporting
Extremely strong financial modeling skills
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
Support fundraise activities for Series C or later stage company
Understanding of regulatory guidelines governing physician practices a plus (such as corporate practice of medicine)
Healthcare revenue cycle management a plus
