The Opportunity

 

We are searching for a self-directed candidate ready to jump into a great opportunity - join our growing company and have a direct impact on new treasury management systems and processes in a high-volume environment! This is a manager level position that reports directly to the Controller. You will own treasury processing and planning in the following areas: banking relationships and account structures, operational cash management & forecasting and partnership with the FP&A team on debt compliance. In addition, the Accounting Manager will be focused primarily on managing treasury functions, performing and reviews various cash accounting & reporting activities of a small treasury team. You will partner closely with other leaders on the accounting team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small treasury team 
  • Record, review and reconcile daily banking transactions and related GL accounts for 15 bank accounts and multiple payment processing methods and systems
  • Partner with Controller in management of banking relationships
  • Administrator for bank and payment processing systems 
  • Ensure proper controls for cash transactions
  • Cross departmental partnerships with Product, Development & Operations teams to ensure accounting requirements are met and workflows are effective
  • Monitor cash flow, including preparing the weekly operational cash forecast
  • Partner with Accounting Managers to ensure proper funding for weekly disbursements
  • Ensure accurate segregation and recording of restricted vs operating cash
  • Subject matter expert for payment processors for ACH, credit card, virtual credit card and lockbox transactions
  • Prepare bank compliance reporting materials
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month end close tasks 
  • Develop and improve internal policies & procedures documentation
  • Execution of special projects as requested by Finance team leadership

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex payment systems and processes in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with high volume payment processing – ACH, credit card, virtual credit cards, lockbox processing and checks.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage a team
  • Experience managing banking relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail and drive for accuracy
  • Strong reconciliation skills using multiple data sets and systems
  • Ability to create and manage an operational cash forecast including reporting on trends and impacts to cash flow
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service approach
  • Experience participating in cross departmental initiatives to drive treasury related projects
  • Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize team tasks
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to hold others accountable for deliverables and deadlines

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
  • 4-6 years of related experience
  • ERP system experience
  • Experience as administrator for online banking
  • High volume experience with a payment processor – specific experience with Stripe beneficial
  • Demonstrated knowledge in areas of responsibility
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • High degree of focus on identifying and pursuing efficiencies and process improvements
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills

Compensation: $70-90K/year
