About the Role

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. GutCheck is growing rapidly and this role will help us drive the efficiency and effectiveness on the team. Since we’re a small team, this position is very hands on and will provide diverse accounting experience.

 What You’ll Do

  • Tee It Up! Live by and champion our cultural values of Team, Educated Opinion, Economic Thinking, Intellectual Honesty, and Trust
  • Assist with monthly close process
  • Communicate monthly budget vs. actual reporting
  • Run semi-monthly payroll & reconcile related reports
  • Process Accounts Receivable and provide weekly aging reports
  • Maintain weekly Cash Flow Forecast
  • Process bills for payment and review AP aging and reconciles monthly
  • Assist with benefit plan audits and filings
  • Maintain and update customer records; maintain and update vendor records
  • Maintain audit-ready files & help with annual financial audit reporting
  • Process credit card reconciliations
  • Manage select Balance Sheet Schedules
  • Assist with related special projects, as required

About You

  • Typically, 2-3 years experience of relevant accounting experience. An effective problem solver
  • Able to deal well with ambiguity
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibility
  • Ability to support multiple people, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong customer service orientation - you like working with and helping fun, smart people
  • Willingness to learn new systems, highly computer literate – MS Office Suite (emphasis on Excel), Google, email and calendar as well as various web based productivity applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

  • NetSuite exposure or experience
