You are a hands-on, experienced accounting professional. You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and demonstrates outstanding detail-orientation and ability to bring process and structure to a complex accounting environment. You want to play a central role in building a world-class accounting function at a hyper-growth technology company - and a general ledger that reflects just as much change. You believe that even though your function is accounting, at heart you’re really a business person, delivering trusted, accurate financials to enable the business to make the right decisions for its future.


The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day full stack accounting, timely month closing, and accurate financial reporting. You will be a significant contributor to management and team leaders by providing useful reporting and insights driven from your expertise. We are excited to welcome an accounting professional to the team that will bring a high level of expertise, strategy, process, and internal controls to our accounting operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Own month-end accounting close including expense classification, revenue recognition, journal entries, and balance sheet accounts reconciliation
  • Assist the Director of Finance with budgeting, and financial, revenue, and KPI reports presented to management, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Manage A/R and A/P entries, schedules, and payments
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting processes and procedures
  • Process payroll on a biweekly and semimonthly basis for a team of 200 (and growing). This includes ensuring accurate tax withholdings, benefits deductions, bonus and other supplemental payments
  • Calculate and schedule commission payments, or better yet, create a system to automate this!
  • Assist in monthly billing including breaking down new contracts, pulling billing data, and generating invoices
  • Manage separate books for parent/child entities and consolidated reporting
  • Aid with tax preparation and filings as needed and third party and regulatory financial audits
  • Ensure full compliance with GAAP and other applicable financial regulatory requirements of a SaaS and Financial Services business
  • Participate in selecting and implementing advanced accounting and ERP software
  • Eager to assist in other projects such as insurance, tax registrations, or compliance initiatives that support the objectives of the Finance and Business Operations team

IDEALLY YOU'LL HAVE...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, CPA a plus
  • 5+ years Accounting experience, a bonus if you have worked within SaaS, FinTech, or Financial Services
  • End-to-end accounting experience required including all general ledger, reconciliations, month closing, A/R, A/P, and other functions
  • Strong attention to detail while working on a variety of routine and complicated accounting tasks
  • Consistent performance and serious about meeting deadlines and commitments
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative and independent setting where you'll touch multiple parts of the business
  • Ability to interpret and present an accountants point of view to various stakeholders who may not be familiar with accounting terminology and principles
  • Strong and up-to-date understanding of GAAP and accounting processes and internal controls
  • Creative and strategic thinker who loves building and improving processes and procedures
  • Curiosity that drives you to analyze our data in the midst of your accounting work and ability to draw insights, understand trends, and develop recommendations based on your findings
  • Working experience with a variety of accounting software a plus; from small business such as Quickbooks to an ERP such as NetSuite
  • Trustworthy and careful to work with sensitive and confidential information

Compensation Range: $80,000-$100,000
