Senior Accountant

Position Overview:
As Vendavo continues its product expansion and growth trajectory, we need an experienced general ledger Accountant in our Denver Office.
You will be part of the Accounting team reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting which is enabling the Accounting Department to leverage its best in class systems and provide accurate, auditable and meaningful information to our shareholders, business partners, and the Vendavo team.
As Senior Accountant, Corporate, you will:
- Be part of the month end close team providing journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis
- Be responsible for revenue recognition review and execution of Vendavo’s revenue policy. This will also include but not limited to % of completion calculations, forecast to actual, and liaison with the business units to resolve any issues.
- Reconcile Bookings between Salesforce, NetSuite and FP&A
- Manage services effort for each project including implementation budget, forecasts, and change orders (% of completion calculation)
- Report on revenue by customer
- Process Bad Debt and AR reserve
- Provide intercompany management for the US booksOpens a New Window.
- Stock option accounting
- Manage US PBC for the annual audit
- Resolve Budget Vs. Actual differences as supplied by the FP&A team
- Support the FP&A team as required
- Calculate and report on Sales Tax Filing, FX impact to revenue, and other schedules
- Intercompany process management (US perspective)
- Simplify and automate deferred revenue accounting
- Track deals, billing and collections as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Active CPA license strongly preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in software
- 5+ years’ experience in a Corporate Accounting Department or pubic accounting experience
- A Passion for the accounting work
- ASC 606: Revenue from Contracts with Customers knowledge and experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to all levels of management
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of accountability, with focus on the results we need to achieve individually and collectively
- Ability to execute with a sense of urgency through thoughtful planning and disciplined execution
- NetSuite experience a plus
