Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for performing advanced, highly complex levels of technical and analytical revenue cycle reporting. Provides support through developing and implementing strategic revenue cycle solutions to maximize reimbursement through research, audit, and analysis of data. This position will create reports and data analysis for RCM Operations, Contract Performance Management, and business operations for organizational optimization.
Job Duties
- Review and analyze revenue cycle data to identify reimbursement opportunities
- Identify patterns and trends for denial management and prevention
- Track performance metrics for business process optimization and contract performance
- Month end reporting and metrics
- Support all revenue cycle functions and contributes to the overall financial health of assigned operating units through the use of metric-driven methodologies and a variety of data analytic reporting tools
- Identify and understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track operating unit(s) performance, analyze data to assist in revenue management and decision support, and provide actionable and detailed work plans inclusive of recommendations around revenue cycle process and system improvements
- Present analyses in formal presentations and dashboards to all levels of the organization with defined goals to influence behaviors and foster positive change, work closely with stakeholders from different functional units on topics including: billing, charge capture, coding, edit/denial management, self-pay management, and contract performance.

Job Requirement and Qualifications
- 3+ years of revenue cycle experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Technical expertise and skills of medical billing software
- In depth knowledge of commercial and managed care insurance contracts
