About the Role
You will be responsible for the financial and operational plan at a hyper-growth business, including the near-term operating plan and long-range planning. This is a player-coach role; we are looking for someone who is hands on and can also manage and mentor an analyst.
You work across our entire company to help stakeholders understand their resource requirements in order to achieve our operational and financial goals. You must be a thought leader to partner with executives and help them think about scaling their teams in terms of organizational structure, operational KPIs, headcount capacity planning, and benchmarking.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute planning process across all departments to optimally align resources to achieve operational and financial goals
- Continuously improve how we think about drivers of our revenue, spend, and other operational metrics
- Continuously improve processes to create efficiency and facilitate decision-making
- Lead development of the long range (3-5 years) budget forecast based on long range plans.
- Work with cross-functional partners to provide financial reporting, project budgeting, and future planning; provide for presentation of data in a comprehensible manner to support business decisions
- Facilitate quarterly project planning review sessions to assess quality of inputs and synchronize team's project priorities and budget needs
- Serve as primary liaison with recruiting, purchasing, and legal for the cradle to grave management of hiring plans and vendor management; review purchase requisitions and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial plan
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in operations, accounting, finance, or similar discipline
- 5+ years of experience performing financial modeling and sensitivity analysis in high growth businesses
- Experience designing and executing processes, including financial control, cost tracking and vendor management
- Exceptional analytical mind; able to structure complex problems into component parts
- Expert with Excel and/or Google Sheets, Adaptive Insights, Tableau and/or Looker, and SQL and/or Salesforce
