International Tax Compliance Leader – Denver, Colorado

In this critical Senior Manager position, we will be looking to you to have the ability and experience to work independently to engage in critical analysis in multiple complex higher-level areas within the International Tax Compliance function. You will manage US International Income Tax Filings (Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 8992, 1120-F, etc) and perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns in a timely manner to meet deadlines. You will review all complex international income tax returns and calculations and serve as a subject matter expert, demonstrating the most advance technical skills to file accurate returns. You’ll also oversee the tax installment payment processes for all Western Union subsidiaries. You’ll analyze recently passed Tax Reform and apply new laws to our international income tax returns, as well as manage and review tax accounts for Western Union foreign entities. You will manage the preparation and review of local statutory financials, local income tax filings and provide tax planning and provision teams with information/data as needed.

For such a detail-driven role, you will have 9+ years of overall corporate income tax experience, with a minimum of 6 years specifically in the international tax area, preferably at a large multinational or major public accounting firm. You will have obtained your bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or a similar business subject, with a master’s and CPA a plus. You will have experience with tax/accounting software programs like Oracle, HFM, CorpTax, etc. You’ll demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and successfully use Microsoft Office. You’ll have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple processes concurrently. Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.

The on-target earnings range is $122,981.85 - $204,969.75, which includes a base salary of $102,484.88 -$170,808.13, short-term (15% of base), and long-term (5% of base) incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
