International Accounting Manager

The Role: 

The International Accounting Manager will partner directly with the Corporate Controller and the international management teams to develop and manage the accounting processes for the Company’s international subsidiaries, currently in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Responsibilities: 

• Management of the entire international accounting function
• Monthly and annual accounting and reporting responsibilities for international subsidiaries, including hands on accounting for entities, as well as managing staff and external bookkeeping firms
• Assist in building out the international financial infrastructure, including personnel and accounting system deployments to foreign subsidiaries
• Work with outside accounting firms and internal international personnel on transfer pricing issues
• Coordinate with international subsidiary general managers and outside accountants for compliance, reporting and bank matters
• Assist in establishing international subsidiaries
• Set up and monitor international bank accounts, including bank balances
• Work with international accounting firms and Company personnel to complete all accounting transactions and financial statements monthly and annually

Required Experience: 

• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting
• Expertise with both US GAAP and IFRS
• Working with international subsidiaries
• International travel (under 10% expected)
• Understanding of VAT
• Ability to communicate well and work with both international and domestic personnel
• Inventory accounting experience in any industry

Other Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with transfer pricing
• CPA license
• Experience with multi-currency consolidations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
• Consumer products experience
