JOB TITLE: General Ledger Accountant

We are searching for a General Ledger Accountant to join or Accounting and Finance Team. You must be a team player, willing to be hands-on, able to manage a variety of tasks on a daily basis, and able to consistently meet month-end close deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:

• Monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and detail is substantiated on a monthly basis for both US and foreign entities for accounts such as: cash, prepaids, fixed assets, intangibles, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and taxes.
• Prepare or review and post journal entries as needed to account for monthly transactions.
• Must have a strong understanding of GL accounting.
• Must be able to work independently to investigate and resolve any reconciling differences to ensure accounts are properly stated each month.
• Work with 3rd party foreign accountants to ensure account details are understood and reconciled each month.
• Work with Accounting Manager on acquisitions to set up entities in our GL (Microsoft Dynamics GP), create SKUs, create new GL accounts, and map the acquisition’s accounts to our accounts.
• Cash Application and Accounts Payable.
• Review and post cash details from banks including the cash receipts for AR balances by invoice amount in the general ledger. Investigate any unusual transactions or amounts that do not agree.
• Review and post accounts payable journal entries in the general ledger and review and approve check runs.
• Assist as needed in the purchasing process using our automated system Concur Solutions.
• Assist as needed setting up approved vendors and maintaining our master vendor listing.
• Special projects or other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting related roles
• Minimum of 3 years of experience performing tasks related to General Ledger such as monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet accounts reconciliations, etc
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or other accounting software
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other CRM application
• Experience with a software or hi-tech company
• Unquestionable integrity, ethics and credibility
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and within the company culture
• Excellent interpersonal skill
