Job Description:
Come join the future Un-carrier of cable TV! We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to provide analytical and technical financial support to the Home + Entertainment business.
 
This position will be a key part of the team responsible for forecasting, planning, and reporting across various groups including Marketing, Retail, R&D, Operations as well as other groups within FP&A.
 
Deep data analytics are a key element in the role. You are highly skilled at and enjoy sourcing and rationalizing data to create actionable insights to support the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes across the organization.
 
Business decision support is another key element in the role. You are skilled at rapidly creating business cases, utilizing both simple and advanced modeling techniques to support the ad hoc and strategic needs of the business. Experience with a variety of business models, sizing new markets, and vetting of assumptions are a must.
 
The ideal candidate will also have a record of demonstrated success in a fast paced and flexible environment, and an ability to work well across organizations. We're using our startup DNA to change the industry!
 
Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business unit functions to support the growth of the business utilizing deep, cross-functional analytics.
  • Measure key financial performance indicators and provide actionable insights around trends, highlighting risks and opportunities to FP&A management and to key business stakeholders.
  • Ability to source, cleanse, and synthesize large amounts of data from disparate sources, and create replicable processes and management level reports.
  • Use financial modeling and presentation techniques to analyze impacts of multiple business and operational scenarios. This includes a deep understanding of Balance Sheet and Cash impacts.
  • Provide business case support for the business unit and internal, phase-gate review processes.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end processes (e.g., accruals, GL account analysis).
  • Work within FP&A peer teams and cross-functionally to ensure that information needs, processes and procedures are aligned for proper accounting controls and audits.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a forecasting and financial analysis role including KPI management and variance analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience with forward looking models or budget methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Economics or Engineering. Master's degree Business (MBA)
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting principles. Knowledge of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Experience building and managing complex models; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Superior organizational skills; ability to work independently and with limited supervision, manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in data mining and analytics software (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, DOMO, etc)
  • This role may have occasional travel.

 
Desired:

  • 2+ years of extensive business case development and complex financial modeling in a Private Equity (PE) firm
  • Experience with forecast building, long-range planning and analyzing cash flow
  • Experience working in a highly-matrixed organization

Minimum Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. High School Diploma or GED. Pre-employment background screen.
