Controller: Overview
zingfit is in search of a Controller to be part of our team in Louisville, CO. Our company
builds and markets the leading scheduling and management platform for boutique
fitness studios. We’re a fast-growing, dynamic organization looking for savvy talent. If

The Controller will be responsible for all activities in the finance and accounting
functions of the business. The successful candidate will ensure zingfit is reporting
financials timely and accurately and that operational workflow and systems are
implemented and revised as necessary to support business growth. This person must
be detail oriented enough to complete the monthly close process and also have an
operational mindset. This person must also demonstrate an ability to learn and grow to
shift priorities and deliverables as the company evolves.
What You’ll Do:
● Lead the monthly closing process including the preparation and review of
account reconciliations.
● Provide timely and accurate financial information including financial statements,
management reports and tracking of key performance metrics.
● Develop and implement processes to ensure financial results are completed
timely, accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
● Serve as the primary interface with external auditors, tax providers and other
third party financial partners.
● Oversee all accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, collections and other
transactional activities.
● Manage and mentor existing accounting staff and make hiring recommendations
as needed.
● Provide support for the annual budgeting process. Prepare forecast updates as
needed.
● Complete financial analysis, including variance analysis, shortterm cash
forecasting and financial modeling.
● Evaluate existing systems and processes and make recommendations for
improvement and increased efficiency.
● Serve as a key member of implementation team as new systems are introduced
into the business.

● The ability to roll up your sleeves while also spearheading projects and seeing
the big picture, including support with business strategy.
● Experience with evaluating, selecting and implementing business systems.
● Proven history of assessing business processes and designing and applying
improvements and controls.
● Strong leadership skills and the desire to build first class accounting and finance
functions that support the company’s planned growth.
● Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels and
functions of the business.
● Desire to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and proven ability
to set, communicate and manage to deadlines
● The ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision. Ability to work
independently is key.
Qualifications:
●10+ years progressive experience.
● Prior Controller experience at a SaaS company a plus
● Foundational experience in Big 4 Public Accounting coupled with private
company experience.
● Active CPA license preferred.
● Working knowledge of GAAP topics applicable to a SaaS business, particularly
as they relate to proper revenue recognition.
