About the Role
Working insurance for pre-OrthoFi patients out of the practice management software on behalf of the practice. The objective is to collect the maximum amount of benefits owed from carriers for the open claims filed by the practice prior to their partnership with OrthoFi.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviewing past due insurance claims and doing extensive follow-up as to why carriers might not have paid
- Submitting claims to carriers through PMSW or fax / mail
- Allocating payments in OrthoFi reconciliation report to the correct patient’s account in PMSW
- Calling carriers and / or navigating carrier website to verify payment status
- Adjusting unpaid and / or overpaid insurance balances
Desired Skills and Experience
- Orthodontic insurance background
- System navigation experience
- Quick learner
- Detail oriented
- Basic technology literacy
Compensation: $16.50-$18.00/hour
