Located in our Denver office, the Assistant Corporate Controller will be a key member of our growing finance organization, responsible for both domestic and international accounting activities.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for undertaking key aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and revenue recognition. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will work cross-departmentally to improve key financial processes and will be vital to Xactly’s continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for global accounting operations including new order entry, sales orders, billing, collections, bad debt reserves and revenue recognition.
  • Work collaboratively with payables and general ledger team.
  • Lead annual audit including tax compliance and financial statement preparation and debt compliance.
  • Implement, optimize and maintain key accounting policies and procedures
  • Research and documentation of technical accounting positions including revenue recognition, lease accounting and other key accounting pronouncements affecting the company.
  • Support the executive team in driving best practices across the company in corporate governance and ethical standards
  • Work cross-departmentally to develop and improve key financial processes
  • Lead, oversee and guide ASC 606 readiness and implementation alongside revenue team

Required Skills:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree; CPA or CMA highly preferred

     

  • 7+ years of overall combined accounting and industry accounting experience
  • Prior Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred, prior experience as manager a plus
  • Experience in a high growth, SaaS environment a strong plus
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, technical accounting and revenue recognition experience preferred
  • Experience creating audited financial statements and complex footnotes
  • Self-starter, broad thinker, strategic planner, able to execute and implement strategy
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
