About the Job

You’ll lead the general accounting function, managing the day-to-day work, providing guidance and coaching to the team, working closely with Sales, Operations and Finance and overseeing the monthly accounting close. In addition, you’ll assist with ensuring that the financial control environment is strong and sustainable and supportive of the business growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage all accounting (with some hands-on work) including: A/R, A/P, revenue recognition, fixed asset management, month end close and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements through the maintenance of well-organized and structured accounts and records.
• Interface with outside auditors, tax professionals and other consultants.
• Provide technical guidance surrounding upcoming accounting regulations.
• Manage the federal, state and local tax filing process.
• Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationship with management and staff identifying and developing solutions to a full range of business issues.
• Manage the U.S. accounting staff and providing guidance and training to help develop their careers

About You:

You have experience and expertise in general and technical accounting gained in a combination of public accounting and private company experience. We value committed, detail-oriented and thoughtful individuals who bring operational excellence as well as a creative, mindful approach to their work.

The successful candidate will have:

• The ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions of the organization.  We're looking for someone with strategic and operational financial experience who understands the needs of an evolving organization.
• 5 years’ experience in an accounting leadership role with a recent focus on quickly growing organizations.
• Experience with an enterprise ERP and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Prior experience in a high growth technology company.
• Experience with international accounting and experience with foreign exchange calculations
• Prior experience with implementing operational and financial metrics and controls within a technical business.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP principles and compliance.
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance. CPA with Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
