Accounting Project Manager
Reporting to: CFO

 

Inspirato is seeking an Accounting Project Manager to join our team. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of accounting. Candidate must also have experience working with various accounting and CRM systems and have hands on project management experience implementing new accounting systems. Candidate must possess strong communication skills (written & verbal), a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and be ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into our fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing accounting operations and GL month end processes and identify areas of improvement. Define and lead project(s) to achieve improvement
  • Develop requirements and define processes to support new initiatives. Lead project(s) to implement new initiatives with documented processes to the GL
  • Oversee all key project management activities that impact the GL
    • Establish project milestones based on the design and scope of work
    • Liaise with stakeholders as necessary to ensure desired project progression
    • Initiate, direct and lead project meetings, prepare reports, maintain schedules, manage and control for risks, and all other aspects of the project from inception through delivery
    • Work with Systems & QA Manager to establish a QA plan
    • Execute necessary project management methodology to ensure project success
    • Document all process and develop training materials to ensure a smooth and successful implementation
  • Communicate cross functionally and across all levels to collaborate on and implement solutions
  • Organize priorities against departmental vision and adapt as necessary

Desired Skills/Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting
  • 3+ years experience in project management, with experience implementing new accounting software systems
  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced, highly flexible and entrepreneurial environment
  • Have very strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with numerous accounting and business systems – experience with Great Plains, Zuora, Salesforce and Coupa a plus
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle methodologies such as Agile and Kanban for implementing web-based applications
  • Ability to analyze business processes and develop a practical, usable and useful system to support them
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
  • Track record of delivering high quality projects on time to satisfied customers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills including strong written and verbal abilities
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely follow-up and follow-through
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive
