We are an exciting and rapidly expanding global business, currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our US Finance Team with the main responsibility of assisting the team with accounting functions and initiatives, which will support the overall success of the business.

The role:

Under the direct supervision of the US Finance Officer, you will demonstrate an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, and accounting competence & expertise. You are a self-motivated, energetic and detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives on confidentiality and accuracy. You are organized and easily multitask in order to meet tight deadlines, and you have a creative edge that enables you to brainstorm new initiatives. You are willing to roll up your sleeves to help the team, and you are looking to continue to grow and develop your accounting career.

Essential responsibilities and duties:

  • Complete daily invoicing, including monthly recurring billing and initial investment
  • Use of CRM Salesforce to ensure accurate documentation of customer correspondence and billing
  • Act as point-of-contact for customer-related billing questions and inquiries
  • Utilize accounting software to document, receive and process payments from customers
  • Accept, record and deposit customer payments
  • Maintain customer contracts in accounting software to reconcile changes made in CRM software
  • Utilize e-signature software to receive and maintain billing information
  • Audit credit card charges and supporting documentation
  • Oversee customer payment plans to ensure consistency in monthly payments
  • Processing customer credits and refunds 
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets reflecting financial data
  • Assist with the daily, monthly and year-end operations of the Global Finance Team
  • Liaise between customers and vendors to provide support for GPS sale processing, inventory maintenance and installation
  • Oversee company cell phone cost plan changes and maintenance
  • Complete data entry of vendor invoices into accounting software as needed
  • Provide financial review and approval of employee expenses as needed
  • Act as support and backup for the Finance Team as needed
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor

Work & skills requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a accounting or related role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business-related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience utilizing accounting software
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High degree of initiative and resourcefulness with ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent spreadsheet and calculation skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to execute multiple projects with competing priorities 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to perform well in a team dynamic
  • Eagerness and enthusiasm to learn 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% and move about the office up to 50% to access files, cupboards and the equipment storage room
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office productivity machinery
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 20 pounds

Helpful for success:

  • Experience with CRM Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with Intaact a plus
  • Proficient with Google Suite a plus
  • Experience in SaaS industry a plus
