What You Will Do

We are looking for an experienced and creative Web Developer to join our marketing team to own our web site. The successful candidate will be responsible for back-end and front-end development, including WordPress themes and plugins.

How You Will Spend Your Days

  • Responsible for website development, redesign, maintenance, and critical, time-sensitive repairs
  • Design and implement new features and functionality
  • Establish and guide the website’s architecture
  • Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of WordPress
  • Create web pages against established design guidelines
  • A/B test the web site and make recommendations to improve conversion
  • Design and develop landing pages for different marketing initiatives
  • Develop and test user interface designs across multiple browsers and mobile devices
  • Maintain, optimize and support our web analytic and performance monitoring systems

What You Bring to this Role

  • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience building user interfaces for websites (ideally for Enterprise level B2B companies)
  • Strong eye for design and a desire to create user-centered, content-driven websites
  • Ability to work with debugging tools such as Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
  • Ability to understand and implement CSS changes to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
  • Experience testing to ensure cross browser support
  • Knowledge of site optimization for conversations
  • Experience optimizing websites for performance in order to minimal load times
  • Demonstrated Experience building fully responsive (desktop and mobile friendly) experiences
  • Experience with Adobe suite, Invision, sketch or similar
  • Experience optimizing images and using technical strategies to serve optimal
  • Creative design skills a plus
  • Ability to convert layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages
  • Experience using UX analytics tools (crazyegg, mixpanel, etc) to understand and improve site conversion and experiences
  • Understanding of how to build reusable components in WordPress
  • Experience integrating HubSpot forms and/or other marketing tools
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
  • Lead full website development projects from start to finish
  • 3+ years managing a WordPress web site
