In this role you’ll work with onshore and offshore QA teams responsible for the testing of our WiFi product portfolio. You will be the lead interacting with WLAN partners, defining and executing interoperability tests and creating configuration guides to ensure an optimal deployment experience for our customers.  You will work on a variety of systems from our wireless ecosystem, call server infrastructure, android, cloud based, to analytics and beyond.

What You’ll Do in This Role:

As the Wi-Fi QA Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the world’s largest network providers ensuring Spectralink’s devices work seamlessly on all of them.  With wireless and networking changing daily you’ll never be bored in this position. If working in a small highly collaborative team, solving interesting technical puzzles is your thing, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role you’ll work with onshore and offshore QA teams responsible for the testing of our WiFi product portfolio. Our passion is ensuring an optimal user experience in voice quality, design and ease of use of our product. You will be the SQA lead interacting with wireless LAN (WLAN) partners, defining and executing interoperability tests and creating configuration guides to ensure an optimal deployment experience for our customers.  You will be creating and modifying existing manual tests with a focus on our WiFi interoperability with a wide range of enterprise wireless vendors.  You will work on a variety of systems from our wireless ecosystem, call server infrastructure, android, cloud based, to analytics and beyond.

The nuts and bolts of the job:

  • Lead of our WLAN interoperability program
  • Point of contact for our WLAN partners; Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, and Meraki to name a few
  • Test plan creation for our VIEW (Voice Interoperability Enterprise Wireless) certification program
  • Creation of WLAN configuration guide that define requirement for interoperability with our devices
  • Work with various groups within the company to define feature requirements
  • Create integration/system level test cases based on requirements
  • Perform manual acceptance and regression testing
  • Collect and analyze logs and network traces of failure to determining root cause of failures
  • Configure wired/wireless test networks

What you bring to the table:

  • 5+ years of software quality assurance engineering experience
  • Knowledge of software development and SQA processes
  • CWNA certification and/or related hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless network issues
  • Knowledge of 802.11 standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/d/h/k/r)
  • Wireless/wired network setup and troubleshooting
  • Experience with protocol analyzers, such as Wireshark, to capture, analyze and troubleshoot issues
  • SIP or other VoIP telephony signaling
  • HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, FTP, TFTP is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related program
