WHO YOU ARE:

• A professional candidate Comfortable reading and writing the following languages: AJAX, HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS / SASS, Javascript / jQuery, PHP

• Highly experienced in building sites on WordPress and/or Shopify

• Familiar with using SOAP and REST APIs

• Experienced in server management, cPanel, and DNS hosting

• Experienced in using remote repository and version control systems such as GitHub

• Knowledgeable of industry standards and best practices in regards to Security. Values security measures highly

• Knowledgeable of industry standards and best practices in regards to code structuring and componential design

• Comfortable supporting and mentoring junior developers

• Stays up to date on new technology and languages and implementing as necessary

• Working Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

• Knowledgeable of industry best practices in regards to UX and UI

• Comfortable working within deadlines

• Mutli-tasker who can easily prioritize in a multi-project environment

• Customer service focused with a knack for building user friendly websites

• Considered to have an eye for design and enjoys the creative process

• Excellent communicator, written and verbal

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Self-motivated and proactive

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Work closely with designers and our Project Coordinator to build client websites.

• Provide assistance to clients on all things web related such as maintenance, ongoing updates and improvements, functionality troubleshooting.

• Manage all SDCO hosted websites by working directly with our Liquid Web server team.

• Manage renewals for SSL’s, domains, font and plug in licenses.

• Communicate design and functionality parameters to the design team in a clear and consistent way.

• Initiate new and improved development processes and systems.

• Establish internal development standards and best practices for development team.

• Work effectively as a member of the Development team, collaborating and providing technical support to team members as needed and influencing the team’s success.

• Provide assistance to clients in a professional, clear, and friendly manner.
