Role Purpose
Runs the engineering team on a day to day basis. The VP of Engineering will lead technical direction and be responsible for building and managing a best in class Engineering department.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for management, development, recruiting a best in class Engineering department.
• Acts as the face of the Engineering department to the community, speaking at conferences and events, acting an evangelizer to Denver technology community and broader NBCUniversal family.
• Serve as a key member of the management team that sets the company’s strategic direction.
• Formulate long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department.
• Motivate staff and provide technical direction and guidance, as well as hands-on project management, recognizing the role as that of both manager and support resource / mentor.
• Assure that product is designed for specific needs, but with wider applications in mind.

Basic Qualifications
• 2+ years as Vice President or equivalent at a business reaching significant scale. Millions of users, 10M+ revenue, team of 10+
• Background in AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
• Working knowledge and proven experience building, recruiting and managing diverse set of engineers. Developers, Dev Ops, Quality Assurance, etc.
