Department Summary
Staff Engineer - RF/Wireless sought by DISH Network, LLC in Littleton, CO.
Debug, test and optimize company's world-class 5G NR solution; provide innovation and strong execution skills to the group for Field, Certification, and RF design and optimization; develop scripts, install and configure radios, commission sites, assist with Radio Frequency design and completion of customer information questionnaires; establish design criteria, system dimensioning, link budget and traffic analysis; apply wireless communication knowledge to debug and test DISH User Equipment (UE) product lines; support field log analysis for new features and support gNodeB upgrades; utilize planning tools to design and optimize coverage predictions to design the network coverage for DISH's 5G NR solution. Define testing methodologies for various 5G OEMs such as testing criterions, KPIs and system performance targets. System performance monitoring using analytics and provide necessary support. 5G NR Coverage and Capacity validation in the field vs design using various device and drive testing tools including OEM counters and KPIs. Define Golden Parameters and their values, helping markets to optimize and create best practices for all the engineering team.
Req's: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Communications Engineering plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or as Senior Engineer; or any suitable combination of education, training, and/or work experience.
Also requires 5 years of experience with the following:

  • Performing Network Automation;
  • 5G Radio Frequency design, optimization, and performance engineering;
  • Using Atoll, Planet, knowledge of RF design, 5G, WCDMA, GSM, CDMA, XCAL, and XCAP and various OEM specific tools.


Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test.
Rate of pay: $137,800.00

Pathan oversees the architecture direction, best practices and engineering deliverables at DISH Technologies (DT). As the engineering arm for DISH, the DT team works on technologies such as blockchain, streaming, hardware engineering and immersive media experiences for DISH’s PayTV services. “The most exciting aspect at DT is the ability to create impactful contributions for the industry by developing web-scale applications and differentiated experiences,” Pathan said. “Each team member is regularly encouraged to work on innovative ideas and technologies, patenting them in the process.”
