We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a team member, you will contribute to all areas of our product line. From helping to support legacy systems written in PHP and C#, to developing new cutting edge software written in TypeScript/JavaScript, Scala and using React, React-Native and AWS services.

You will use the Scrum methodology to facilitate our fast-paced continuous delivery cycle. You will be part of a full-stack feature team, setting your own estimates and timelines on work you commit to.  

Because our product line is broad, every Sprint brings a new learning challenge and a chance to employ your creativity in solutioning and to push your boundaries. Some of the challenges we are currently solving involve interactive/predictive map tracking of athletes on course, empowering race directors to run an efficient business and use our vast performance and event registration data to engage athletes.

Responsibilities

• Build efficient, testable, and reusable applications and components in varying technologies

• Build automated test and deployment suites

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint review, etc.)

• Provide estimates and progress updates of work

• Provide candid feedback on process and execution to help improve department efficiency and developer experience

• Collaborate with local and offshore developers to prevent knowledge silos (requires some early morning meetings for time overlap)

We’re looking for candidates that fit a broad bill. Eligible candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in several of the technologies below, at least one from each line (and have a eagerness to learn the others). Not all skills are required.

• AWS ecosystem (Lambda, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, etc)

• Environments: Linux, MacOS, Windows, Android, iOS

• Runtimes: NodeJS, .Net, JVM

• Frameworks: React, React-Native, Zend, Flink

• Libraries: Rx, Redux, Redux-Observable

• Languages: TypeScript/JavaScript (ECMA 2015+), Scala, PHP, C#, C++

• DB/Streams: Microsoft SQL (T-SQL, Linq, Stored Procedures), MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Aurora, Kafka, Redis, ElasticSearch

• Testing Frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Chai, Selenium

• Methodologies: TDD or BDD, Scrum, Functional Programming
