Position Opportunity:

A highly skilled, motivated Javascript/UI developer to join our team supporting our public facing web sites and internal intranet applications. As a Javascript/UI developer, you will be working on various mission critical projects supporting a fast-paced entrepreneurial business.  You will have the opportunity to develop applications using various cutting-edge technologies while following an Agile process.

Job Duties (summary):

Working closely with the other UI, UX and backend developers, you will develop modern user interfaces to support the business. You will also be responsible for developing and testing Javascript and UI code as dictated by project requirements.

Job Duties (detail):

• Create performant web application front ends as per design

• Integrate front-end application with the backend service API(s)

• Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility (including mobile)

• Collect feedback from design and technical staff

• Adhere to established coding standards and group procedures

• Assist in the planning and estimation of stories and tasks

• Add to the technical team’s culture of high code quality, professionalism and customer first mentality

• Coordinate with UX Design Architect in meeting accessibility standards

• Conduct usability testing to resolve problems

• Contribute to team’s established best practices

Required Skills/Proficiencies:

• Great communication skills, both verbal and written

• Work in a fast-paced environment

• Have a knack for understanding human behavior

• Early technology adopter

• 4+ years developing complex User Interface (UI) applications with contemporary front-end technology stack, preferably React/Redux

• Experience with architecting Single Page Applications (SPAs) using common design patterns

• Hands on experience with ES5, ES6, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, CSS Preprocessors, etc.

• Hands on experience with Material Design concepts and Bootstrap framework

• Strong understanding of vanilla JavaScript

• Experience with JavaScript Testing frameworks

• Agile project methodology

Desirable Skills/Proficiencies:

• Experience with front-end build tools/task runners like NPM, gulp, grunt, webpack

• Web frameworks like React/Redux, Angular, etc.

• Experience integrating with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices in AWS environments such as S3, CloudFront and Elastic Beanstalk

• Experience writing end-to-end tests

• Aptitude to independently learn new technologies

• Experience with American Disability Act (ADA) standards for UI development

• Jira Software knowledge a plus

• Bitbucket GitHub

Additional Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline/experience
