Overview

Four Winds Interactive seeks a Technical Engineer to work with the FWI Operations Tiger Team. This position is responsible for resolving customer escalations related to the implementation of FWI software and hardware. The Tiger Team Technical Engineer will evaluate customer implementations including software, hardware, network and other infrastructure issues and work with Customers, Sales Engineers, Hardware Solution Design, Implementation Teams, Development Teams, and Product Management to resolve issues escalated to the Tiger Team. The Tiger Team Technical Engineer is not a management position.

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidates experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex software implementations with customized criteria tailored for the specific customer’s environment. 
  • Work cross-functionally with the Sales, Technical Sales, Services and Support organizations to ensure the success of the FWI solutions with our customers.
  • Own the troubleshooting and resolution of customer escalations including providing detailed project plans, timelines and updates.
  • Gather business requirements to scope solutions for “non-core” product and service offerings, and customization as necessary.
  • Act as liaison between project team and industry product management team to ensure client required product enhancements are defined in roadmap.
  • Act as top-level escalation point on support issues for key clients. This will include onsite troubleshooting and management of resolution.
  • Gather and define business requirements from client on how content is managed and deployed throughout digital signage network.
  • Work with project team to ensure that software is configured to meet business requirements and future growth.
  • Work with project team to define infrastructure architecture. This will include scoping network traffic, database sizing, and recommend server architecture based on these requirements.
  • Validate that all components implemented create a stable and effective digital signage solution that satisfies the client’s requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, CIS, CS, and/or Software Engineering, related degree, or related experience
  • 5+ years’ experience technical design and implementation for enterprise software, hardware and infrastructure projects

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive experience utilizing software and system design concepts
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present this architecture to technical and non-technical personnel
  • Effective communication, listening, verbal and written skills
  • Experience with creation, customization and delivery of consulting, coaching or training
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills to work with sales, consulting and support in a dynamic and innovative company environment
  • In depth Technical knowledge of LAN/WAN/Wireless networking
  • Knowledge of Server Infrastructure and technical knowledge of networks and connectivity
  • Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Storage concepts and computing
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues
  • Experience delivering customer training
  • Working knowledge of XML and XSL style sheets
  • Experience with programming and/or scripting languages, particularly those related to system administration and networking
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Desired Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with large format LCD/LED displays and video wall configurations
  • Familiarity or interest in digital communications industry
