The Role
Seeking a pragmatic Solutions Engineerwith hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle. You will work across product, marketing, and technology teams to understand, interpret, and evangelize our products and services to both internal and external customers.

* Work with product team and customers to interpret requirements and shepherd customers through to launch. Act as a Solutions Architect.
* Develop and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects.
* Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers to understand requirements.
* Provides product technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
* Successfully tailor demonstrations for customers, trade shows, and special events.
* Prepares cost estimates by consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.
* Be able to think critically and suggest improvements that might lead to cost savings or other client benefits.
* Work with the client to problem-solve through every hurdle during the sales process.
* Arrange and, in some cases, lead training for customers.
* Work with compliance to ensure all legal requirements are met.
* Research the industry on an on-going basis to know what changes may be on the horizon that will impact current and future sales.
* Provide feedback to the team as well as R&D for process or product improvements as required.
* Condense information into reports for a wide variety of uses from marketing and sales to engineering and R&D.
* Provide clear and accurate responses for RFPs and/or contribute technical solutions directly to proposals.
* Work in tandem with the sales team on presentations to ensure accuracy.
* Willingness to travel to conferences or customer meetings.
* Willingness to make functional or non-functional prototypes.

What we’re looking for...

Youll need to have:
* Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
* Four or more years of relevant work experience.
* Four or more years of experience as a software engineer working on mobile or web products
* Two or more years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect
* Willingness to travel

Even better if you have
* Master’s degree.
* Experience with IoT tracking, asset tracking, navigation systems, geospatial / location technologies, mapping, and big data.
* Ability to manage several sales opportunities simultaneously.
* Ability to apply the right technical knowledge at the right time in the sales cycle.
* Strong presentation skills to both business and technical audiences.
* Ability to translate knowledge across diverse industries.
* Written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to engage in a larger conversation, not just answer technical questions.
* Proven collaborator and liaison with all levels and departments within an organization.
* Self starter, independent, go-getter.
* Ability to creatively find opportunities.
* Interpersonal skills.
* Ability to make decisions and drive work forward.
* Ability to multi-task and still deliver on-time.
