Recurly is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers responsible for the Physical Goods capability of the Recurly platform. The Physical Goods team uses Ruby on Rails technology to build a leading subscription management software for both the digital and physical worlds. In this position, you will be responsible for the key components of our Recurly Application that manages billions of dollars worth of subscriptions. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader to take on leading Recurly to become a world class Physical Goods Subscription Management Solution.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of engineers delivering critical components at scale in Ruby on Rails
• Leading an iterative software team towards world class capabilities and deliverables
• Identifying technical and customer-facing impacts, recommending best-practices and/or alternate approaches, and providing timeline estimates
• Participating in requirements and solution design sessions, working closely with stakeholders from across the entire organization
• Collaborating on and informing cross-functional teams of new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation
• Owning development project status and challenges and communicating those to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements

• Previous experience in a management role
• Strong leadership and ownership mindset
• Experience with publicly facing applications at scale
• A quality-first mindset, and demonstrated experience producing high-quality code
• Ability to develop features end to end, synthesizing feedback from stakeholders and turning ideas into complete and thoughtful solutions
