Ardent Mills is looking for a full stack engineer to join our engineering team.  In this role, you will be working on across our suite of critical business applications in support of our product and IT initiatives. This position requires someone who has a passion for solving problems, designing innovative yet simple solutions, and always puts reliability and user experience first.

Your Day to Day

  • Work with product designers and managers to bring features, designs and prototypes to life in production code
  • Develop engineering roadmaps to support Product and IT initiatives across our custom applications
  • Contribute to overall app stability, including code reviews, engineering governance, writing unit and integration tests, and documentation of code
  • Provide technical direction to development teams, aligning solutions to our enterprise application goals
  • Contribute to software architecture design, monitoring, continuous integration, continuous build and branch management of code bases
  • Work effectively with a small team using an agile workflow, mentor junior developers, and a willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
  • Support team members in troubleshooting issues that arise and serving as a L3 escalation point for complex issues

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, MIS, Computer Science or similar discipline 
  • Minimum 4 years of extensive experience with modern, component based web frameworks like Angular, React, VueJS, along with the ability to learn new web technologies
  • Minimum 4 years experience converting high-level product requirements into successful products through solid software architectures, engineering design and implementation.
  • A deep understanding of frontend web rendering processes and the ability to profile and optimize experiences to their fullest potential
  • Ability to implement and assess product analytics Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Azure App Insights or comparable
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers

Nice to Have

  • 4+ years of Angular experience preferred
  • Experience partnering with a UX team on solutions (visual design, concept generation, user flows, etc…)
  • Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces and micro services. .NET Core preferred
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in incorporating accessibility into web applications
  • Experience with Azure platform, cloud products and solutions
  • Experience creating responsive web applications for various devices and screen sizes
  • Experience in assessing security considerations within web applications
  • Supply Chain, Lean Manufacturing or Commercial experience
  • Great communication skills:
    • You explain complex ideas in a simple way
    • You are empathetic
    • You can give and take constructive criticism to help you or your team grow

Other Considerations

  • Ardent Mills is headquartered in Denver, CO.  This role can be 100% remote.  The successful candidate will be expected to commit to a periodic presence in the Denver HQ office, the frequency of which is open to discussion with the hiring manager.

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $94,230.98 - $125,680.56, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 10% Annual: Individual Target.
