The largest, most innovative self-insured employers have figured out how to cut 40% from their healthcare costs. Our Intelligent Health Benefits Platform makes their best practices plug-and-play for the other 80% of US employers who self-insure their health benefits. In an industry defined by complexity, opacity and indifference — Apostrophe is delivering simplicity, transparency and love.

Imagine if you could use your skills to help people make better healthcare decisions. Apostrophe is seeking a Full Stack Developer.

  • As a member of our Engineering team you will work closely with technical leadership, product management and other members of the engineering team to translate technical requirements and specifications into actionable UI solutions.

    • Backend NodeJS APIs that interact with our data layer, drive workflow and facilitate integration to our many vendors. Work with Lambda, S3, and Elastic on most given days.

Your superpower is solving real-world challenges.

  • You possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to troubleshoot and debug software problems quickly and accurately.
  • You have a passion for writing great software and working with others that share that passion.
  • You enjoy performing a variety of different kinds of tasks and learning and applying new skills.
  • You write great code and have strong skills in your preferred languages.  You have exposure and experience to the languages we use.  What you don’t know, you learn quickly.
  • You enjoy working in the Node.js ecosystem and you have experience working with a variety of tools and libraries in that environment.
  • You are very knowledgeable in software design patterns.
  • You are comfortable working with source control systems and have experience with Git.

Who You Are

While you don’t need a fancy degree to work here, you do need to embrace learning and continuous improvement, have a strong technical skill set, and favor simple solutions over complex ones. You will be working with our applications and data on a daily basis. You are versatile, compelled to be great, self-directed and live by the following perspectives:
