The role

The Sr. Technical Lead, Embedded Vision will report to the Director of Perception and oversee embedded inference technical development. This is an opportunity to shape on-vehicle machine learning for the pioneer and leader for yard automation. This position requires mastery of embedded inference, ability to mentor developers, attention to detail, and ability to learn in unstructured environments.

Outrider’s fully electric, SaaS-based autonomous trucking solution relies on a powerful, advanced, on-board inference engine to enable massively scalable perception capabilities and round-the-clock operation across a large fleet of deployed systems. This role is ideal for a talented and dedicated engineer who wants to combine both practical and cutting-edge perception techniques to push confined-area, heavy-vehicle autonomy into hardened, high-volume production.

Perception and machine learning is a pivotal function enabling a safety-critical system for industrial automation. This opportunity offers a well-rounded, hands-on technical lead the chance to help develop a market-leading, enterprise-grade product that combines autonomous trucking technologies with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business model.

The ideal candidate embraces the idea of reducing the carbon footprint of our 'get-it-now' economy and is invigorated by our overarching mission to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission, self-driving vehicle technology.
