How will you make a difference?

Responsibilities

• Design and architect complex cloud solutions to support in-flight aircraft operations
• Work on “big data” pipelines to enable real-time actionable intelligence for our Connected Aircraft (IoT) solutions
• Implement traditional and serverless applications on the AWS Platform
• Integrate dozens of independent systems (ground & airborne) to ensure the Gogo ecosystem is integrated holistically both horizontally and vertically
• Collaborate with system analysts, engineers, enterprise architects and subject matter experts to establish the functional/technical vision of our solutions
• Champion development best practices and lead the team in adopting new technologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Comprehensively unit test your code
• Hands on development position – 75% of time coding
• Contribute to a healthy and collaborative development team with a committed work ethic

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience focusing on Backend development
• 3+ years of experience working with Java/Spring Boot framework
• 3+ years of experience working with Go, NodeJS, and/or Python
• 3+ year of experience in an AWS environment
• Strong SCRUM/Agile work ethic – ability to contribute productively to a fast-paced development team, delivering demonstrable code in 2-week sprints]\
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

• Hands-on experience developing server-side applications and API’s
• Experience designing and implementing architectural patterns, specifically microservices
• Unit testing and TDD best practices with tools like Junit, Mockito, Spock
• Experience with CI/CD, using SCM tools such as Gitas well as an understanding of Gitflow
• Hands on experience with SQL and NoSQL (e.g. Dynamo, Mongo, etc.) database technologies

Desirable Skills, Experience and Talents

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Experience and/or interest in telecommunications and/or aviation industries

Base Pay:

108,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
