Four Winds Interactive seeks a Senior Software Developer to work with the Product development team. This person will serve as a champion of Enterprise Video Player, and the technologies that impact core functionality.  We are looking for someone who will come in and immediately act as a contributing member of the software development team. All members of this team are responsible for ensuring all deliverables are high quality.

 

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defect Repairs and Enhancements of moderate to high complexity
  • Unit test plans and associated documentation
  • Work plans for owned deliverables
  • Information, Analysis and Recommendations to support team efforts.
  • Software Process Improvement implementations (i.e., initiative taken)
  • Presentations for communicating any of the above
  • Personal emphasis on timely delivery with quality

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Mastery of one or more programming languages, architectures, frameworks, etc.
    • This position will be focused on C#, C++, MonoGame (or similar), Fundamental Networking proficiencies,
  • Solves problems through modifications of high level technical designs, implementation and testing within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Creates clearly documented personal goals, plans, designs and results and communicates to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Quickly creates reasonable estimates of schedule and task estimates of own deliverables.
  • Compares, contrasts, and prioritizes among alternative approaches to meeting those objectives.
  • Uses judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer impact, business constraints, and technological realities.
  • Responsible for quality on owned deliverables.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies to solve problems practically

Helpful for Success:

  • Experience of building and supporting responsive, high-quality video applications
  • Familiarity or experience working with DirectShow or Media Foundation
  • Previous experience building enterprise level, scalable video applications
  • Good at solving problems and thinking creatively
  • Generate ideas based on customer feedback and market input
