Senior QA Engineer

| Greater Denver Area
Snapdocs is an early-stage, rapidly growing company backed by investors like Sequoia Capital, F-Prime Capital, SV Angel, and YCombinator. We are looking to expand our engineering team with an empathetic Senior Quality Assurance engineer to help us build the next generation of our products. Are you interested in having high impact and growth while bringing an industry into the future? Then we have a role for you...

We're a small team tackling the absolutely massive mortgage market by bringing modern, elegant software to an archaic industry that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes. We bring security, efficiency and joy to a paper-based pillar of the US economy. We trust our team members to make smart decisions. This means we value both independent work as well as collaboration. We're becoming ubiquitous in one segment of the market and now we're looking to hire another Quality Assurance engineer to help us expand further.
Over the last 5+ years of being a QA engineer, you have developed skills with both manual and automation testing. We currently use tools like Cypress, Postman, Datadog, and JavaScript so proficiency in those or similar tools is a must. Experience with application security testing or pentesting would be the cherry on top. This role will give you the opportunity to be part of a growing engineering team, mentor more junior engineers, and most of all, the opportunity to have a huge impact and not just be another cog in the machine.
As a Senior QA engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the testing and validation of our product features and fixes. You will add to the QA team’s ability to build out testing infrastructure, and continue to move the needle towards higher quality and a devops culture. You should have a passion for software testing, an inquisitive mindset with a keen attention to detail, a strong desire to learn, and enjoy debugging and identifying complex issues. Patience, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines under pressure, proactively communicate issues to stakeholders and management with the appropriate level of urgency, and the innate ability to work collaboratively are key.
Snapdocs’ culture is one that strongly values diversity and drive. We want to work with people of different backgrounds and different paths in life, and we trust our team members to make smart decisions. This means we value independent work as well as collaboration. We provide excellent benefits (including a 10 year exercise window on your options (!)) and our location in downtown Denver is super convenient (we are currently based in the Wells Fargo Center).

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Since starting at Snapdocs, I have been given tremendous amounts of opportunity for growth and learning. I began on our branch support team, but since then I have been fortunate enough to move on to a lead role, and eventually onto our Customer Success team where I live now. Thanks to Snapdocs, I have been able to level up my career considerably.

Kyle Anderson

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

At Snapdocs, we are building a real estate platform. We have the challenge of architecting an n-way marketplace which is secure, performant and delightful to use.
