Job Duties and Responsibilities
This job is located onsite in Englewood, CO
Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Understanding the requirements and developing test cases for all product use cases in context of OTT apps on embedded streaming devices and convert them to test automation scripts
  • Execution of test cases (manual and automation) across multiple device platforms such as LG, Samsung, Xbox, Comcast, etc
  • Design and develop test scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript for given OTT UI/Functional test cases
  • Testing developed scripts on Xbox, LG, Samsung and Comcast and commit stable code to master
  • Going through daily test automation reports across platform, debugging and fixing the issues
  • Adding improvements to test automation framework
  • Logging defects with all relevant details (debug, network logs, etc) and tracking it till closure
  • Work closely with developers to ensure a successful, high quality user experience by developing highly stable test automation scripts and framework

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Essential

  • BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation using JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience in testing of OTT applications


Highly desirable

  • Hands-on experience in testing of OTT applications on Embedded products in Consumer electronics space - Smart TV, Consoles, or media streaming devices such as Roku
  • Coding experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience/Knowledge in CodeceptJS test automation framework
  • Hands-on scripting experience in page object model-based test automation framework
  • Good debugging skills. Should be able to root cause, differentiate issues as product/ script bugs
  • Hands-on experience in using Git based source code repository, associated code commit flow
  • Experience in using network debugging tools like Charles/Wireshark/fiddler is preferred
  • Exposure to working on CI-CD (Jenkins/GitLab)
  • Must be willing to learn new programming languages based on Project requirements

Salary Range
Compensation: $85,000.00/Year - $123,000.00/Year

Pathan oversees the architecture direction, best practices and engineering deliverables at DISH Technologies (DT). As the engineering arm for DISH, the DT team works on technologies such as blockchain, streaming, hardware engineering and immersive media experiences for DISH’s PayTV services. “The most exciting aspect at DT is the ability to create impactful contributions for the industry by developing web-scale applications and differentiated experiences,” Pathan said. “Each team member is regularly encouraged to work on innovative ideas and technologies, patenting them in the process.”
