Aspenware works with dozens of ski resorts & other technology partners in North America and around the world designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge commerce and resort solutions. As a Senior Front End Engineer on the product development team, you’ll be responsible for interpreting complex business requirements and translating them into world-class web and software applications. You must be a self-starter who can work on a high-velocity team and who has a desire to improve your skills every day. Responsibilities may include visiting ski resorts to have gondola and ski meetings from time to time as well.

What You Will Do:

• Engage and interact frequently with a team that may include Client Stakeholders, Project Managers, Designers, Business Analysts, Architects, and other Developers
• Translate business requirements into systems design and clean code Develop software solutions iteratively and incrementally
• Actively work with the services team to help build strong relationships with our clients
• Build clean, reusable front-end components
• Implement styles using CSS

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ web application development experience
• Demonstrated high level modern JavaScript expertise (ES6)
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of Git source control in a team
• Proficient understanding of JavaScript pre-processing and packaging frameworks such as babel and webpack
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to meet project timelines and budgets
• Ability to collaborate with peers on a project to meet project/product needs
• Experience on a multi-disciplinary development team

Preferred/Nice-to-have Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and pre-processing platforms such as SASS
• Familiarity with working in an Agile environment
• Experience working further down the stack
• Very nice to have: interested in design, UI/UX, user flows
• Test-driven development. Unit testing
• E-commerce and other commerce development experience
• Ability to be customer facing from time to time
• A love for the outdoors and mountain sports
