Reporting Developer
Department Summary
The Billing and Credit department supports the needs of DISH subscribers, agents, installers, and external departments by providing up front analysis for enterprise releases and projects. The department also provides support for back office operations and processes. The department is comprised of multiple facets with specific focus on targeted operational objectives that include, but are not limited to:
- Customer Billing & Payments
- Customer Fraud and Revenue Assurance
- Customer Delinquency, Collections, and Bankruptcy
- Customer Installation Damage Claims
- Third Party Provider Payments
- Fraud
The Reporting team within the Billing department at DISH is responsible for supporting the enterprise with data and analytics needs surrounding billing, payments, delinquency, and credit. The team focuses on providing its internal customers with dashboards to allow business owners to keep a pulse of their business through key metrics, delivers adhoc data requests as needed to support initiatives and projects, and develops automated solutions for exception processes and reconciliations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop dashboards to help the department keep a pulse on the business and alert them to violations of trends
- Create ad-hoc reports as requested in a timely and accurate manner to provide actionable data to senior management and above, both internal and external to the department
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and use discretion to determine the methods needed to meet established goals
- Act as a consultant for internal customers to ensure the ideal end product
- Set and meet deadlines appropriate for support of larger business initiatives
Skills, Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school, preferably in Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and at least five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suite
- 3+ years of experience with in-depth SQL
- 2+ years of experience with Tableau developing calculated fields including LOD expressions
- Experience with data cleaning and blending multiple data sources using ETL tools such as SSIS
Salary Range
Compensation: $57,400.00/Year - $82,000.00/Year
