Responsibilities:
- The QA Lead will balance their time between leading the QA team, hands-on testing, and thought leadership on QA process improvement
- Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to deliver high-quality software that gets high marks for usability and performance
- Acquire and maintain deep product knowledge
- Coach and mentor QA team members on QA best practices
- Manage the full software quality lifecycle across multiple teams
- Optimize test coverage across iteration testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, unit tests, test automation, and platform testing
- Identify and manage internal and/or external testing initiatives such as security testing, Big Data testing, and performance bench-marking
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or test automation
- At least 2 years of experience leading or managing a technical team
- In depth understanding of software engineering and QA principles and the ability to apply this understanding to formulate and execute test strategies
- Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Proven success in improving software reliability and release predictability
Relevant:
- Experience working with the Windows stack (Visual Studio, C++, C#, .NET) or Web stack (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)
- Experience with testing, development, and deployment of desktop, server, and web applications
- Experience in successfully implementing a test automation strategy
- Data collection and root cause analysis techniques
