DigitalGlobe has an immediate opening within the Geospatial Cloud Services (GCS) organization in Westminster, Colorado. This role will be responsible for performing the role of QA Manager for a development team as part of the overall QA Community of Practice. 

Responsibilities

• Manage team of QA Engineers embedded into Agile Scrum teams.
• Drive QA automation initiatives to completion while ingraining a quality culture across organization.
• Take a lead role in the creation, oversight, and execution of automated testing.
• Take a lead role in developing test plans, test procedure, and overseeing execution of test processes and procedure.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
• Ensure sound software testing processes are in place and executed.
• Creates reusable, extendable and sustainable automation suite by advocating "design for testing" strategies in the scrum teams.
• Identifies and drives change to ensure automation effectiveness.
• Provides accurate, clear and concise testing status updates across multiple projects.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 7+ years combined experience with software testing 
• 3+ years managing Agile QA Automation personnel
• Demonstrated experience using Agile and/or SAFE methodologies
• Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments
• United States Citizenship and ability to obtain clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Desired degrees: Geography, Geographic information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Geosciences, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Photogrammetry, or a related field
• Senior level experience in test automation
• Experience with BDD technologies, including Cucumber
• Experience working with build automation using Jenkins, Selenium, and RestAssured
• Passion around facilitation, empowerment, and servant leadership
• Testing experience with object-oriented software, especially in Java and Javascript
• Knowledge of multi-tier, heterogeneous architectures and how to test them
• Understanding of what it takes to keep a high-availability software platform healthy
• Tremendous Organization and Communication skills
• Experienced with and within Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP teams
• Knowledge of sound Agile Engineering Practices (TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, etc.)
