TITLE: Principal Wireless Engineer I
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY: Perform CBRS network design, optimization, test case development, and LAB/Field testing for advanced 5G, CBRS, and LTE RAN features for optimal performance of Charter's networks. Create and define 5G, CBRS, and LTE test strategies and execute test cases related to performance, mobility, access, features, Self-Optimized Networks (SON), Spectrum Access System (SAS), and capacity to evaluate the overall network performance. Responsible for new test case development and test procedure document for 5G-NR/LTE. Perform 4G/5G parameter optimization for small cells to enhance network performance. Support various 5G-NR/LTE KPIs of accessibility, retainability, and mobility class. Configure CBSD installation parameters to certify CBSD using CPI certification. Perform new SIM card burning with required HSS parameters using Smart-Jac SIM editor tool. Perform LTE small cell integration and parameter optimization, including configuring MME and SAS, Band, EARFCN, and PTP server from eNB. Resolve issues related to network, MME, PGW, HSS PCRF, AMF, UDF, AUSF, and UDM/UDR. Create and define virtual test scenarios in the Automation Test Manager (TM) to evaluate handovers. Verify eNB performance in high traffic scenario. Support wireless technology including 5G NR or LTE 4G in either field or lab testing environments. Utilize network elements management systems with any major vendor including Ericsson ENM, Nokia Netact, Altiostar EMS, Airspan ACP, or Nokia BTS Site Manager. Support network deployment including SAS or CBRS; and network architectures including vRAN, 5G Stand Alone (SA), or 5G Non-Stand Alone (NSA).
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5 years of experience in: wireless technology which can include a combination of 5G NR or LTE 4G in either field or lab testing environments; and network elements management systems with any major vendor including Ericsson ENM, Nokia Netact, Altiostar EMS, Airspan ACP, or Nokia BTS Site Manager. 2 years of experience in network deployment including SAS or CBRS. 1 year of experience in network architectures including vRAN, 5G Stand Alone (SA), or 5G Non-Stand Alone (NSA). Work will be performed at 6360 S. Fiddlers Green Circle, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 and 6399 S. Fiddlers Green Circle, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $148,699.

$148,699.00 to $191,200.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
