Hotel Engine is eager to add a Platform Engineer-RoR to our growing engineering organization! In this role, you will be using tools like Datadog, Sentry, and Heroku metrics to ensure that our Postgres database and applications are up and running at all times. In addition, you will be fine-tuning these applications to to ensure that critical alerts and warnings are escalated to our on-call team. You will have the opportunity to help diagnose and develop solutions for software and system problems across our entire stack. Intriguing? Check out more information below!

How We Work

We ship code daily to our production, staging, and continuous integration environments
We work in a mix of Agile and Kanban
We keep meetings to an absolute minimum to maximize development time
We keep to a 40-hour workweek and respect your time away from the office

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software development
Strong knowledge using MySQL, Postgres, or other RDBMS at scale
Strong knowledge of performance and system monitoring
Working knowledge of modern control systems (Git/Github)
Knowledge of object-oriented software design, development, and architectural principles
Experience with CI/CD
Experience with AWS and/or Heroku

Compensation

The base salary range for this role starts at $140,000 - $175,000/year.
An annual bonus of up to 15% of your base salary.
Stock options.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.
