This role will require solid experience managing mobile engineering teams. You will be responsible for managing Rosetta Stone mobile teams developing products for both iOS and Android platforms. A deep understanding of developing and distributing on at least one of these platforms, and a willingness to learn the other, is a must.

A successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in leading highly productive and collaborative mobile development teams. This leader will have successful experience in creating a culture of excellence and collaboration; defining and implementing engineering strategy with a focus on the customer experience, product quality, innovation; team and individual growth. We are looking for someone with strong leadership and interpersonal skills who will provide guidance to the teams, as well as help individuals through their career and professional growth. Strong experience with either iOS or Android development is a must. Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, SAFe is a big plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or a closely related degree

• 5 years of people management experience

• 5 years of hands on technical leadership experience in the mobile space

• Hands on experience developing native applications, either iOS or Android

• Experience shipping successful products 

• Strong leader, motivating and energizing the very best

• Track record of leading teams through frequent release cycles

• Understanding of software engineering life cycle, experience with CI, CD, 

• Excellent communications skills

• Experience with agile methodologies, scum, SAFe is a plus

• Experience working with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities 

• Manage Rosetta Stone mobile development teams that regularly ship products for iOS and Android

• Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of projects. 

• Be responsible for the overall quality and architectural integrity of the apps

• Helping the teams to maintain and improve successful process, releases cadence, high quality of products

• Assure the teams follow best industry practices in developing and releasing software

• Help team leaders to drive technical aspects of projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment. 

• Nurture self-organization and accountability on the teams

• Work closely with product management team to ensure teams build the products learners love

• Provide guidance to the teams in product innovation

• Nurture the team culture that encourages collaboration, personal and team responsibility, focus on user, product quality and innovation.

• Guide individuals through professional and career growth, as well as help strengthen the teams
