Job Description

The Opportunity 

Manager, Consulting – Technical Consulting Services is responsible for leading a team of Technical Consultants responsible for providing hands-on assistance with technical implementation and developing solutions for system and data integration.  Additional Responsibilities include Presales Technical Services scoping, and cross functional representation with Engineering and Solutions Consulting teams.

Responsibilities  

  • Direct management responsibilities for all designated resources and their associated workload in achieving team and individual utilization goals
  • Establish team objectives and drive performance improvements
  • Set individual goals and providing on-going performance feedback as well as formal performance appraisals
  • Understand team member capabilities and ability to establish development plans
  • Aptitude to create a team environment that sustains a highly motivated group working to achieve common objectives
  • Work cross-functionally to drive visibility and collaborative for process improvement
  • Engage in escalation management
  • Assist in pre-sales activities to scope professional services engagements and close deals
  • Manage partners and subcontractor relationships, onboarding, and tactical technical support
  • Coordinate and manage weekly and monthly one-on-one and team-wide meetings and training sessions to ensure ongoing improvement and best practice sharing
  • Attract, hire, coach, on-board and retain top talent
  • Developing and driving new offerings and repeatable solutions, as well as optimizing processes to grow our business
  • Work closely with extended team of pre-sales, support, customer success, product and engineering
  • Demonstrate technical leadership in Marketo consulting projects with clients and partners
  • Manage client expectations and project scope
  • Communicate complex, enterprise-class technical solutions to both technical and business audiences
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%

Required Skills/ Experience  

  • Requires 4-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering, and minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, enterprise level, professional services environment; or equivalent industry experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of managing individual contributor consultants who have less than 5 years of experience and remote
  • Successful history of assisting selling professional services engagements
  • Superior communications skills (presentation, written, and verbal) and ability to interact effectively with all levels of professional staff. Ability to explain complex concepts simply.
  • Teamwork and good communication skills a must
  • Excellent organizational skills -ability to prioritize, manage, multi-task and execute projects cross-functionally
  • Act as a role model to others:  sets an example of integrity, ethical behavior and professionalism
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of enterprise marketing systems, Marketing Automation (Marketo, Hubspot, Eloqua, Pardot, Exact Target, Adobe Marketing Cloud), CRM, and ERP; experience with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
  • Proven success in design, development and delivery of enterprise SaaS integration solutions
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a technical consultant or similar role
  • Knowledge & hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages, web services, web development, RESTful APIs, relational databases, version control
  • Experience with middleware integration tools (Informatica, Boomi, Scribe, Mulesoft)
  • Experience with either/all of Python, PHP, Java, C#, C++, and/or ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and DOM manipulation
  • Experience with implementing marketing technology solutions in a client facing role
  • Experience with defining systems strategy and road-map, documenting requirements, designing and prototyping solutions, creating system diagrams, and implementing enterprise solutions.
  • Understanding of the Marketing and Sales business process is a plus
