TITLE: Lead Software Engineer
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, Colorado
JOB SUMMARY: Develop new features on the Spectrum Connectivity Platform (SCP) on multiple routers models. Enhance features on SCP firmware. Code, test, debug, and enhance new and existing software. Participate in code review sessions to validate adherence to development standards. Participate in the design and architecture discussions. Support solutions to the test team on the automation framework. Provide CI/CD solutions to enhance automated deployments in the test, stage, and integration environments. Gather business requirements for upcoming features. Debug and analyze production issues on SCP Firmware. Support test teams during test planning on new SCP firmware features. Involve in code optimization on SCP firmware. Assist junior team members in monitoring and repairing systems. Mentor, coach, and assess the workload of junior team members. Collaborate with customers and internal and external technical teams to identify software problems and communicate remediation plans. Follow established configuration/change control processes.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or related and 7 years of experience utilizing C development on embedded Linux; developing framework automations in Python to perform functional, endurance, and soak testing on Set-top Box, SCP Router, and Gateway devices. Must have 3 years of experience with Open WRT/RDK Linux router platform to enhance RDK middleware running on gateway devices, fix bugs on RDK middleware, design and develop WebPa on RDK platform, and validation on SCP routers running openWRT stack using Python/Robot automation. Must have 5 years of experience supporting low level debugging tools such as: GDB, KDbg, Valgrind, and strace. Must have 2 years of experience supporting Layer 2/3 network router to participate in live debugging of field reported issues and provide quick code/config fixes by releasing Product Patches. Remote work is available.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $139,984.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $139,984.00 to $170,500.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
