Four Winds Interactive seeks a Hardware Solutions Engineer to join the Hardware Solutions team. This position plays a pivotal role in our customers success with our hardware product offering. The Hardware Solutions Engineer provides engineering level support for hardware escalations. They work closely with FWI customers, and internal teams to resolve problems and keep systems online and running properly. This Engineer is responsible for setting up test environments ranging from simple to complex. They are methodical in designing test cases, documenting results, identifying trends, and analyzing the data.

The compensation package will be aligned to each candidate’s experience and qualifications. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer hardware tests on a variety of endpoint, display and peripheral devices.
  • Install, configure, and deploy FWI software application per testing requirements.
  • Document test cases, test results, hardware diagrams, and method of procedure
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of FWI customer business needs to facilitate informed hardware recommendations.
  • Work with customers to troubleshoot hardware escalations
  • Understands hardware concepts, how to test them effectively
  • Produces engineering documents for all work completed
  • Support FWI internal departments with hardware setup/deployment for testing
  • Actively engage in Tier-4 hardware engineering escalations
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Requirements for Success:

  • Analytical mindset with intermediate problem-solving skills
  • Installation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating system.
  • Basic AV understanding
  • Understanding of networking concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting

Helpful for Success:

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Installation, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Android, iOS, Brightsign and SoC devices
  • Audio/video engineering or installation experience
