Maxar Technologies is seeking a creative, energetic, enthusiastic and motivated Full-stack Web Developer to join the Creative team. Maxar is seeking a jack-of-all-trades capable of tackling all aspects of web design and development using current web best-practices. The ideal person for this position is passionate about web design, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, loves pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, is an excellent problem solver, is forward-thinking, and has a thorough understanding of emerging web trends. Strong design and coding skills are a must along with a strong grasp of key concepts like responsive design, site architecture, SEO and UI/UX.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of all Maxar corporate websites
• Manage content as needed
• Design, code, deploy microsites
• Design and code interactive web assets
• Provide web design support for internal Maxar customers
• Support the Maxar brand

Basic Requirements:

• Demonstrated understanding of web hosting platforms – AWS a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of relational databases – MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated proficiency in coding for web – Ruby on Rails a must, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, GitHub
• Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States of America

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong web design skills a must – responsive, frameworks, animation
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles – Material design
• Proficiency in the use of relevant Adobe CC tools
• Understanding of content management systems
• Understanding of SEO and web analytics
