Full Stack Software Engineer

Position Summary

As an Application Developer at talentReef, you will be playing a critical role in shaping the system architecture, building automation efficiencies and collaborating with other talented developers.   talentReef is looking for an experienced Application Developer that has a passion for building reactive web-based applications.  Ideal candidates will have experience and knowledge in developing high quality applications and solutions in a fast-pace entrepreneurial environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the Agile process with cross-functional development teams
• Contribute operational and systems expertise to the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to organization-wide processes and standards
• Automate; Infrastructure, software builds, testing, deployments, etc.
• Share knowledge with Software Engineers, etc.
• Work closely with other developers to pioneer and spearhead front end  and back end technologies
• Create reusable, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions

Requirements

• Experience developing in Scala, Akka, Play Framework or Java
• Experience developing REST/SOAP based APIs
• Experience with MVC frameworks
• Experiencewith HTML, Javascript, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, React and/or Angular.js, Backbone.js and ColdFusion
• Experience with >1 modern JS frameworks (React/Redux (highly desired), Angular, Backbone, Ember, etc.)
• Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, etc.
• Experience with MVC frameworks
• Experience writing to relational (SQL) and non-relational databases
• Experience with Agile development practices, having successfully gone through multiple enterprise-level software development lifecycles
• Understanding of Domain driven design (DDD)
• Understanding of distributed systems
• Understanding of cloud hosted and/or virtualized systems
• Experience developing and implementing extensible web based UIs
• Object oriented and functional Javascript experience
• Highly motivated individual with interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies
