Blue Canyon Technologies (BCT) is a leading provider of turnkey small satellite solutions, including nanosatellites, microsatellites, and ESPA-class. BCT is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team supporting embedded software development for our flight systems.  Our software team works on software for all our solutions (components and satellites) in areas related to payloads, radios, fault tolerance, and guidance, navigation, and control.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded data processing and control system strategies and architectures.
• Design, develop, and test embedded software components to interface and control various peripherals such as radios, payloads, propulsion modules, etc.
• Software design and development using C and Matlab in an embedded real-time operating system (e.g.  Linux, RTEMS).
• Support system integration and test.
• Support autonomous satellite operations and anomaly resolution.

Development work is executed in a team environment spanning multiple programs with engineers from various disciplines.

 Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 3-10 years of experience developing software for embedded systems
• Ruby and/or Python experience
• Cross functional project team experience
