Snapdocs is an early-stage technology platform, backed by blue-chip venture capital firms like Founders Fund, SV Angels, Sequoia Capital, F-Prime Capital, and Y Combinator. We are tackling the $1.75 trillion U.S. mortgage market, developing modern software for an industry that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes. We bring security, efficiency, and ultimately a better home buying experience to a paper-based pillar of the US economy. As our platform traffic expands, it's critical that we build out fully automated CI/CD pipelines from the ground up. That’s where you come in… 

As a DevOps Engineer you will play a critical role in maintaining our AWS production environments, containerization with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, creating automation, scalability, monitoring, and managing deployments. The day to day will require you to analyze, organize, and provide in-depth code reviews to improve applications dynamically and ensure the timely completion of projects. To do this, you will employ an open-source collaborative development design to broaden each significant feature, compose clear descriptions and PR messages. Your time will be focused on collaborating with team members to improve our engineers’ deployment tooling, application performance, security, and stability. When the need arises, you are ready to lend a helping hand to debug production issues across services in addition to participating in an on-call rotation. Today our team is working in Ruby on Rails, React, Postgres, GO, AWS, Docker, Terraform & Kubernetes to name a few but things change quickly so be comfortable learning new tools. 

Over the past 2+ years, you have gained in-depth knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) systems administration in a production environment. Today, your interests are in the cloud and you have some experience with modern cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. You love Infrastructure as code and strive to automate everything possible working with server automation tools like Terraform. It's a major plus if you have exposure to Kubernetes(Helm) but not required. You have a bias toward testing & know the value of clean code being pushed to production. Bash or Python are your go-to tools for scripting but you are also open to learning new tools. Open Source is a passion of yours. You are interested in scale; ready to solve a diverse range of problems with complex distributed systems & relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis). You are ready to learn by building something new that will have a tremendous impact on our industry.
