The PaySimple engineering team is seeking a DevOps engineer to architect and manage our cloud infrastructure and production software deployments.

Must haves:
- 3+ years of experience working in a software developer or DevOps role at a SaaS company
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Understanding of data center architecture and DR practices
- Experience with data center migrations
- Effective troubleshooting skills
- Ability to react quickly while carefully minimizing the impact of changes
- Ability to learn quickly
- Comfortable working at a small dynamic company
- Can use judgment to solve problems where protocol might not exist
Working Knowledge Of:
- AWS infrastructure
- Networking in the public cloud
- Build management tools such as TeamCity, CruiseControl, or Maven
- Deployment tools such as Octopus Deploy
- Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or bash
- Windows and Linux administration
- SQL Server administration
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Redshift, AWS Lambda, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of CI platforms such as Jenkins or Bamboo
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute migration of production servers from hosting providers such as Rackspace to AWS
- Develop scripts and cookbooks to deploy software to servers
- Develop scripts to configure AWS infrastructure using the AWS SDK
- Plan and manage deployments effectively so that there is zero downtime
- Understand and manage risk of change
- Manage the software build
