Overview:

Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a Data Development Associate who will be responsible for preparing, building and testing our quarterly releases of spatial, geodemographic, business location and household data on all supported versions of Alteryx. The Data Development Associate will collaborate with Data Products, Engineering, Customer Support, OEM Partners and 3rd party data vendors. The ideal candidate for the position is a team player, bright, motivated, and possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities: 

  • Processing data updates (automated or manual) including regression testing
  • Leading and contributing to ongoing refinement and development of operational requirements and standards, and champion adoption of industry best practices as required
  • Maintaining data processing workflows and source data associated with recurring updates, including data Macros & Apps
  • Resource for troubleshooting data issues and providing feedback and testing to Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support
  • Contribute to the Alteryx Community with data related posts and content 
  • Ensure operational requirements, standards and best practices are factored into plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree, Computer Science, Information Technology, Geography, or related field, 3+ years’ work experience
  • Good understanding of software and web technologies and source management techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and listening skills
  • Ability to quickly identify and acquire information necessary to solve problems
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal direction and guidance
  • Strong self-motivation balanced with a desire to achieve team goals, and a desire to grow and learn
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data structures
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, or advanced Excel experience 
  • Applicants with previous experience using Alteryx will be highly considered
  • Experience working with REST APIs
